Kanoogi collects the information needed to create accounts, run games, operate forums and KanChat, protect the service, and send account or notification emails.

Information We Collect

• Account information such as email address, username, password hash, verification status, roles, and sign-in tokens.
• Profile information such as status text, about text, profile image, feature settings, and notification preferences.
• Game and lobby information such as game names, tokens, rosters, ownership, launch requests, game activity, and server status.
• Community content such as forum posts, comments, replies, reactions, deleted-content tombstones, and moderation state.
• KanChat and private-chat data such as chat membership, read state, notification preferences, device public keys, and message content unless a chat is end-to-end encrypted.
• Uploaded media such as video comments, posters, derived clips, and related processing metadata.
• Security, diagnostic, and service logs such as IP/browser request data, login statistics, errors, and operational events.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide Kanoogi, keep accounts secure, run multiplayer games, moderate community areas, send requested emails, debug problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Public And Shared Content

Usernames, profile images, forum posts, comments, reactions, and video comments may be visible to other Kanoogi users depending on where you post them. Private games are unlisted from the public lobby, but anyone with the game link or token and a valid Kanoogi session may be able to join unless additional restrictions are added.

Private Chats And Encryption

Standard KanChat/private-chat content is processed by Kanoogi to provide the feature. End-to-end encrypted chats are encrypted client-side, but Kanoogi still sees metadata such as chat membership, timestamps, message existence, device public keys, delivery/read state, and notification settings.

Service Providers

Kanoogi uses service providers such as Google Cloud for hosting, storage, Datastore, Pub/Sub, email-related infrastructure, and media processing. Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, email links, embedded previews, and video features may involve the providers needed to deliver those features.

Your Choices

You can sign out, update your profile, change notification preferences, unsubscribe from KanChat emails, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account data.

Children

Kanoogi is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

Retention And Security

We keep account, game, and community data as long as needed to operate Kanoogi, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain service history. We use technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
